About Trust
After 27 years in business, I understand that trust is the most important factor in any relationship, especially when it comes to financing a home. I establish trust by making sure my clients understand all aspects of the largest financial commitment they will make. Building trust takes time, and I spend significant amounts of time with my clients, listening, learning, and most importantly, answering all your questions.

About Goals
I focus on you, getting to know your interests, goals and needs. Those goals and needs go well beyond the loans I arrange. Mortgage Planning is about making sure that the mortgage you choose is the best financial tool for your situation. The right loan leads to growth, prosperity, and eventually to wealth.

About Keeping Promises
Whenever possible, I will attend your loan signing. If there is a mistake, I will arrange for correction immediately. You never want to sign anything that is incorrect, or rely on a verbal assurance that it will be fixed. As your trusted advisor, I answer your questions, and assure you that the huge stack of documents you are signing contain the loan terms I promised you.

About Sustainability
What makes me a Green Mortgage Expert? First, my company is a Certified Green Business by the Contra Costa County Green Business Program. To qualify, we met strict standards for energy conservation, water conservation, recycling, and use of recycled products…In particular, recycled copier/printer paper. Second, I participate in the Penny Pines reforestation program of the US Forest Service by planting a tree when I close each loan. Third, as a member of Build it Green and their Real Estate Council (BIG-REC), I promote green initiatives, educate and train real estate professionals, and drive demand for energy and resource efficient properties and projects. BIG-REC members help ensure that when you sell or refinance your property you will be able to find a Realtor, a mortgage professional, and an appraiser who all understand the increased value your sustainability investments produced.

About Interest Rates and Loan Fees
RATES CHANGE EVERY DAY. Banks and Lenders issue new rate sheets every morning. Sometimes rates change 2-3 times a day. Those rate sheets expire every day. Some expire at 1:00, some at 4:00, and some even later. But you can bet that each new day brings new rate leaders. So...How do you know what to do? YOU DON’T. That’s why you hire me! It’s my job is to know the market. It’s my job to lock your loan when the time is right. It’s my job to match you up with the best available.

Often times the best financial decision is not based on the rate. Nor do the fees alone determine the best financial decision.
